A remarkable book about an unlikely pair of war heroes.

Jeep was an exceptional coyote who formed a special bond with a young American airman from Nebraska during a unique time in history. This book is based on true stories from their experiences together flying missions over Europe during World War II.

Jeep Coyote was the only mascot during World War II known to have flown in at least five combat missions. Jeep's close relationship with the young airman, Walt, and his ability to make friends wherever he went, will endear Jeep to readers young and old.

This book touches the heart, and offers young readers a glimpse into life in the U.S. and England during the turbulent war years of the 1940s. But more than that, the book will assist readers dealing with friendship, loyalty, and loss.
