Jacob's Dream

A man awakens to a day just like any other. This day he will be roused from his simple bed to be taken out and given the “privilege” of stripping the bodies of those killed in the latest engagement with the leader of the world. Here, he will move through the burned and bloodied corpses, removing the useful articles of war and the little trinkets he can steal and hide for himself. It is a life that offers a few rewards and fewer beatings – a life any prisoner of his day would be content to have. But this man has no emotion about it. For him, there is only the instinct to survive and the struggle to bury a confusing and painful past deep within his mind and heart.

But all that changes one day when this man, Jacob, finds on the body of a smiling dead soldier the one book in the entire world that is forbidden to all – the Bible. He hesitates only for a moment, realizing that the possession of this book carries a sentence of death, but then makes a choice that will forever alter his life and help to usher in the final age of mankind.

It is the beginning of the Great Tribulation – the time when the antichrist has put the whole world under his thumb and set himself up as messiah. He has created the ultimate experiment in mind control at a small military prison outside of Jerusalem. Jacob, by making his choice to search out the bible he has found, gives his heart over to the Light, and becomes caught up in the Great Cause championed by believers in Yeshua. And more than that, he finds he has been divinely chosen to lead this group of believers as they prepare for the Battle of Armageddon. Little by little, through an ever-unfolding vision given to him by God, Jacob comes to understand just what he and his new brothers and sisters have been called to do.
