Isaiah : A Bible Commentary for Every Day. Dieser Artikel ist nicht verfügbar.Isaiah : A Bible Commentary for Every Day

Isaiah is one of the best-known Old Testament books and the one cited in the New Testament more than any other. It has also been regarded as a 'fifth Gospel' because of its promise of the Messiah and its descriptions of God's Suffering Servant. Above all, however, it is a testimony to God's enduring faithfulness to his wayward people, even when they are deported to exile in Babylon. Isaiah's powerful combination of warning and hope is as relevant today as it was two-and-a-half millennia ago. The People's Bible Commentary covers the whole Bible with an approach that presents scholarly insights in straightforward terms, aiming to instruct the head but also to warm the heart, and pointing to how the truths received can be applied personally. It is a valuable resource for all who regularly preach scripture, for those wanting to venture deeper into personal Bible reading, and for study group leaders.
