Now in its third edition, Identifying American Furniture is a concise, indispensable resource for curators, collectors, and connoisseurs alike, as well as for students of history and the decorative arts. Containing over 200 photographs representing 36 different furniture styles and an extensive bibliography, Naeve's book is the classic guide for those wishing to make quick identification of specific pieces or to do further research. Each style is related to international stylistic movements, innovative craftsmen, influential publications, and the technological improvements that shaped them. The Chicago Tribune rightly calls Naeve's guide 'a book that belongs in every furniture-lover's library'.
