The authors' aim is to draw the reader's attention to human aspects of library automation, explaining in detail how a poorly designed system and working environment can adversely affect the automation process. They examine methods of improving the workstation design within the restrictions of library budgets, illustrating these with examples. The book is intended as a guide to the library manager and library designer.
