Jesus predicts division. It is an inevitable part of our experience as sojourners living as temporary guests in our earthly dwelling. Yet, Christ also calls for unity among believers and makes a way through the cross—the place where divisions die, and God’s love redeems. How can we reconcile these seemingly contradictory promises of division and unity, especially when the things that divide strike at the very core of our being?

In Homeward, the author shares lessons from her journey through race and faith. In what is a blend of personal reflection and cultural analysis, the author invites readers into ordinary stories across childhood, marriage, parenting, family loss, and vocation to reveal the heart of an extraordinary God. The book is just that—an invitation to relationship, understanding, and hope with a desire to focus on the One who can orient our hearts toward a love that restores all things.

Each chapter introduces readers to a set of redemptive moves, small but powerful acts that can help us grow in humility and grace on the journey to God, our home.

Come join a soul-stirring journey toward healing that points to the God of redemption!
