Can you recall events, people, and circumstances which have profoundly affected you? Many people have "holy moments" -- those times when the Lord seems to reveal himself in a way that alters the direction of life. In this book, William Bartlett encourages readers to experience the presence of Christ as he interrupts our often very ordinary and exhausting lives -- just like Moses' life was interrupted by the burning bush! According to Bartlett, these epiphanies leave us changed, redirected, sometimes happier, sometimes pondering, but always holier. By examining some of the many holy moments in the Bible, as well as a few from his own life, Bartlett helps readers to understand the holy moments occurring in their lives. Unique in its message, this book is excellent for personal or group devotions as well as for all types of study groups.

William C. Bartlett is currently the pastor of Lutheran Church of the Cross in Laguna Hills, California. A graduate of St. Olaf College, Luther Theological Seminary (St. Paul, Minnesota), and the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago, Bartlett has also served congregations in Minnesota, Illinois, and Arizona. Pastor Bartlett's efforts at evangelism and church growth have been especially effective; his last three congregations have all been among the 100 fastest-growing of the ELCA's 11,000 churches. At his present parish, membership has grown by 500% and the budget has quadrupled over the last eight years -- and that's not including the construction of a satellite campus and the opening of a Christian elementary school.
