Rupert Matthews, born in 1961, is an English author on the paranormal, and Conservative Party politician. He has written over 170 books, and has appeared on television and radio as a presenter and consultant, mostly on history or military subjects.

Among the titles he has authored are: RAF Bomber Command At War, The Age of the Gladiators, Usurpers and Kingmakers, a biography of the American artist Frederic Remington, and The 20th Century in Pictures, a photographic review of the century. Rupert is married to Joanna and lives in Surrey, UK.
