Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor: Joachim Fest was born in Berlin in 1926. After WWII, in which he served and was taken prisoner, he joined the RIAS-Berlin radio station where he eventually became head of Contemporary History In 1961 he became Editor-in-Chief of TV for Nordeutscher Rundfunk. He is also the author of THE FACE OF THE THIRD REICH and PLOTTING HITLER'S DEATH.
