Hidden Philosophy: Chapter 1 Love discusses what the true meaning of love is and the common misconceptions that surround it. In this first chapter, the author addresses the question of why so many people get discontented in their search for love. What are the heightened expectations, peer pressure, and idealistic thinking that affect the ability to love freely? The attachment, family, love relationships and the commercialization of love – the book intersects these various issues, explaining why instead of comfort, joy, etc. that real love ought to provide, these issues cause one to be – troubled, stressed and anxious. This chapter offers a trip through the levels of this understanding, starting from the notion that love is far more than a feeling and more like a purpose than anything else. Hidden Philosophy: Chapter 1 Love brings hope of new understanding of love, and prepares the reader for the next part that will propose ways and means of enjoying true and lasting love.
