Visit the website for more information: www.nwcppediatrics.com. Dr. Unger has written this book to help encourage her newborn patients and their families to read together. As described by the American Academy of Pediatrics, reading aloud to children beginning in infancy enhances early literacy skills, improves school readiness, and strengthens the relationship between parents and children during this critical time in a developing brain. Dr. Unger also wrote this book to share what she learned from her family growing up, and what she learned while raising her own children.
