Let's Help the Earth (Sesame Street)

Next season, and more than ever before, kids watching Sesame Street will be introduced to the concept of environmental consciousness and the general appreciation of the world around us.  Readers are shown the wonders of the natural world through Elmo’s wide-eyed look at plants, animals and the environment. He then takes kids through the various things each of us can do to protect our planet; to keep it clean for today and always. Each spread covers a different concept: being kind to animals (protecting animals and wildlife), proper disposal of garbage, keeping the community clean, ways to reuse things (recycling) and conserving water and energy.  The final spread shows Elmo planting a tree (replenishing) which brings his journey full circle and illustrates the positive results that come from the lessons learned in Let’s Help the Earth. Flap, tabs, pop-ups and more make this a fun, entertaining and gentle way to introduce these vital concepts to the next generation.
