Book condition: good, very scarce, text in German, title translates to Pagan Adventures and Hunting Stories, highlights include eight color plates including one of whaling on title page followed by American Indians battling settlers, hunting polar bears, a Lapplander on a sled, a ship on fire and more, these illustrations are wonderful in their color and detail, additional b/w illustrations throughout, boards are half bound in cloth and paper and show scuffing to corners and edges, spine scuffed and sunned, title page and following page detached but included, some minor foxing with moderate staining to last few pages, overall clean, binding firm, 190 pages followed by table of contents, 5 X 6.5 inches.
