The Healing Rosary: Meditations for Those in Recovery from Alcoholism and Addictions from the Resurrection Press imprint of Catholic Book Publishing invites the reader to open their mind and heart to God's mercy. Using the simple, repetitive prayer of the Rosary can help people to get out of the way and let God get in. Mike D. correctly links the experience of Bill W. with the ancient devotion to the Mother of God. He writes with the authoritative experience of a recovering addict and at that same time with the faith of a believer. Although ideally for those in recovery, the meditations in The Healing Rosary will strengthen the prayer life and convictions of anyone who reads it seriously and prayerfully.
