Jonathan Stevenson is the editor of Strategic Survey, an annual review of international affairs, and a research fellow at the International Institute for Strategic Studies in London. His journalistic writing has appeared in, among other places, The New York Times, The New Republic, Newsweek, and The Wall Street Journal. His last book, "We Wrecked the Place": Contemplating an End to the Northern Irish Troubles (Free Press, 1996), was widely hailed as one of the best books ever written on its subject.
