The concept of the magazine is simple: the first half is a long-form interview with a notable book fanatic and the second half explores one classic work of literature from an array of surprising and invigorating angles. In our sixth issue we talk to the incredibly talented readerly and writerly actor, Ethan Hawke, and go on a Scandinavian adventure with Selma Lagerlof's celebrated masterpiece The Saga of Gosta Berling. Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor: Philip Terry is a translator, and a writer of fiction and poetry. He has translated the work of Georges Perec, Stéphane Mallarmé and Raymond Queneau, and is the author of the novel tapestry, shortlisted for the Goldsmiths Prize. His poetry volumes include Oulipoems, Shakespeare's Sonnets, Dante's Inferno, Quennets, Bad Times and Dictator, a version of the Epic of Gilgamesh. He is currently translating Ice Age signs.
