CHILDRENS’ REWARD STORIES - 68 separate titles Sixteen volumes, bound in uniform contemporary sheep, spines gilt titled ‘Reward’, with volume number, and double gilt bands. Many have the name Hadfield, 1828 at the top of the title-pages. There are 68 titles in total, moral or religous short stories, some unrecorded, and others recorded in just a handful of copies on Jisc (details below). These may have been bound up for use by a schoolmaster, or church minister for instructing children. 32mo. printed for the Religious Tract Society, by J. S. Hughes, 66, Paternoster-Row. [or J.
