"M.E. Robinson's poetic memoir delves into the profound and often painful experiences of an abuse riddled childhood. Additionally, the memoir highlights how childhood trauma impacts a young adult's ability to navigate society. Through a series of poignant and vulnerable poems, the complexity of those painful and confusing experiences are captured. As the memoir unfolds, the poems reveal how the connection formed with God and Spirituality, became the guiding light that was used to navigate her healing journey. Each poem serves as a testament to the restorative power of faith and how It can be used to find peace within."

A passionate writer with a love for poetry, M. E. Robinson is a debut novelist. Drawing inspiration from her traumatic past and upbringing, she transforms her pain into poetry, vulnerably highlighting her transition from a hurt child to a healed adult. She wrote this collection of poetry with the intent to inspire those who are on their own healing journey, hoping to shed light on the beauty that can come of it. When not writing, she dedicates her time to college -as a culinary student, connecting with fellow veterans, performing at open mic nights, reading, volunteering, and sending "I'm cooking, are you coming to get a plate?" texts to her closest friends and family...and they always say "YES!"
