This book is the result of more than 10 years' experience working in the fields of hydrogeology, geology, mining and the environment. It presents various situations from the point of view of safety, health and the environment, in the areas of geological drilling and tube well drilling, in order to contribute to carrying out these activities safely and sustainably. The content is full of official data on accident statistics and ways of minimizing risks in activities involving rigs and drilling machines, especially in the mining sector. It is a didactic and fundamental material for use in lectures and training for employees of drilling, mining and well-drilling companies, as well as for the general public who are interested in working directly or indirectly with work involving rigs (percussive, rotary or rotopercussive) and/or drilling rigs.
