Über die Autorinnen und Autoren
Many of Robyn's leadership lessons have come from involvement in community and professional associations. After serving on many committees and taking leadership roles at local, national and international levels, she's found many parallels between association, corporate, non-profit and family leadership needs. Two of her leadership positions: 1. President, Professional Speakers Ass of New Zealand 2002/3. During her term the membership grew by 80 percent, many improvements were integrated, finances dramatically improved, major sponsorship was secured, and a team approach involved many more members than previously in running the association. 2. World President, Global Speakers Federation 2006/7 - the body representing all the professional speaking associations worldwide (until 2018, the only Kiwi to hold this position). Since 1992 she has run an international training and speaking business from New Zealand, working with associates and contractors, managing staff, and working with senior managers to improve the productivity and effectiveness of their companies. She's also learnt from the raising of her six children, including a foster son with intellectual disabilities, and now seventeen grandchildren.
LaVonn Steiner improves performance and productivity through leadership coaching. She has delivered over 1,100 motivational presentations to leaders from twenty-nine countries and four continents. She holds two masters degrees, is a certified manager, a trained scientist, and a twenty year healthcare manager. Before launching Excel Leadership Inc, a consulting and coaching enterprise, she directed a medical teaching program that ranked number 3 out of 400 similar programs in the USA. She developed this leadership system as a healthcare manager and now spreads her message worldwide in coaching, speeches, and seminars. She is a product of her own teachings, from her humble beginnings as an on-the-job-trained (OJT) healthcare employee to a nationally awarded healthcare manager. LaVonn was honored in Washington, D.C. as National Educator of the Year for coaching and mentoring. She is also a featured author to the #1 New York Times Best-Selling book series Chicken Soup for the Soul at Work.
