Language: - English, Indira Gandhi an chief minister of West Bengal is the highly spirited and dynamic lady Mamata Banerjee who took over on May 20, 2011 at the conclusion of the nightmarish misrule of the left front government for 34 years at a stretch. It was indeed an uphill task. The present Book is a tourdeforce delineating the achievements of the first seven months of her Trinamool regime. , Simplicity and austerity, altruism and uprightness are the hallmarks of her turbulent political career and intrepid moral character. Knowledgeable sources will agree that not unlike America's Clara Jetkin Europe's Joan Arc, Orissa's Nandini Satpati and India's illustrious Indira Gandhi all along she had been an uncompromising crusader against all sorts of social and political injustices and oppressions. , Already the international opinion is highly optimistic about her probable future political course of action. It is believed that if she persists in her humanist conduct like today, if she remains unflinching in her own political convictions and determinations, if she is not overwhelmed with the intoxication of chief ministership in the Writers Building, if she also does not like her adversaries go to acquire Farming lands on the pretext of industrial development, if she can expedite the progress of her own region at least to some extent her name will ultimately be inscribed in letters of gold in the hearts of the umpteen millions of this region for all times to come and her image will continue to shine as the green star over the political horizons of West Bengal.
