This is the final book in Andrew Jenning's Olympic investigative trilogy. It reveals the story of how crooked sports leaders, their sponsors, gangsters, and dope peddlers pulled together to take the world for a ride. It tells the astonishing story of how the IOC fooled the world by spending millions of dollars on spin doctors; it names the Olympic crooks and profiteers untouched by the clean-up investigations: still welcome in the Olympic club are members accused of genocide, environmental destruction, illicit arms dealing, million dollar corruption, theft, sexual harassment and drug scandal cover-ups; it documents organised crime's involvement: gangsters from the post-Soviet republics have moved into Olympic sport. This is a fascinating and entertaining book: Hunter S. Thompson meets Nick Hornby.
