Unpaginated. Quarter calf over marbled boards. Red morocco title label, gilt lettering, blind stamped bands. Minimal rubbing. Pages are tanned, with the occasional spot or stain. Cobbett writes in a series of letters to his son the importance of good grammar and clarity of expression, including mistakes in grammar taken from the writings of Samuel Johnson and a speech by George III. New front free endpaper appears to have been pasted down to hide a circular arts and crafts style bookplate belonging to a George William Miller on original front pastedown. Occasional light foxing, heavier to prelims. Inner hinge at title page slightly cracked but still strong. Calf of spine and boards somewhat rubbed with light loss to surface. Marbled boards also a little rubbed. Overall a Good Copy.
