He awakened without a past. Beneath a dying world of rusted horizons and forgotten machines, a solitary figure opens his eyes inside a ruined laboratory, stitched together from pieces that should never have belonged to the same body. He is given a name, but not a history. A purpose, but not a choice. The wastelands beyond are vast, violent, and haunted by the remnants of civilizations that buried their secrets beneath stone, steel, and silence. As fragments of memory begin surfacing through the fog of his creation, questions emerge that neither his maker nor the world itself seem willing to answer. What survives when identity is stripped away? What remains when memory refuses to die? As ancient powers stir beneath the ruins of humanity and unseen eyes follow his path through the ashes, Graft must confront a truth far older than his own creation. Some souls are born. Others are assembled.

Aryn Bats writes psychological-architectural horror and psychogothic fantasy, constructing narratives where institutions shape identity and individuals endure within systems never designed to hold them. His work explores the quiet erosion of agency within controlled environments. Corridors narrow. Silence conditions. Structures influence long before they are understood. Beneath stone and shadow, abandonment and longing become part of the architecture. Through recurring symbols of ravens, vaulted shadow, and the red thread, he builds quiet horror cathedrals where awareness unsettles and acceptance follows. Follow the red thread.
