Goodnight Farm

Inspired by the rhyming poem design of Goodnight Moon by Margaret Wise Brown, Goodnight Farm engages young children in colorful scenes and pleasing lyrics as the day winds down into night on a farm. The rhythm of the text employs techniques that familiarize young children with language and help parents teach them vocabulary and context as they grow older.

To foster greater understanding and appreciation of agriculture in society, it is important to introduce children to farming at young ages, and to do so in a way that captures their attention and imagination. Exposure to positive representations of farming can foster early learning about where food comes from, care and respect for the natural world, awareness of different ways of life, and appreciation for people that work hard to produce the everyday things that we need.
