Most of us are satisfied to turn on the faucet and get our water in that way. If something is wrong and the water doesn't come from the faucet we call up the plumber, but we do not realize what has gone wrong simply because we do not understand how a house is piped for water nor do we understand why water gets into the pipes, etc.
