I haven’t always seen the dead. It happened after I took a tumble down a flight of stairs and bumped my head on an expensive marble floor. Since then, apparitions keep popping up in the strangest places, and they’re pretty demanding.

Take the ghost at our local BBQ restaurant. Rumor has it she’s been dangling from a rafter there ever since her father found her. I’d yet to meet anyone that actually saw her, other than me, of course, and I had the toughest time figuring out what she needed. But when the owner of that restaurant wound up dead, and I was the last person with him, I needed my new ghost buddy to help me find the real killer. And the only way to get her help was to get to the truth surrounding her death.

Now I split my time between my son, my job at the local historical society, and ghosts.
