Cecilia Morgan is author of Public Men and Virtuous Women: The Gendered Languages of Religion and Politics in Upper Canada, 1791-1850 (1996) and teaches history at OISE at the University of Toronto. Nancy Forestell teaches History and Women's Studies at St Francis Xavier University.
