Here is a description of “More Than A Game” in the words of the protagonist, Carter Mason: I know what I look like: a stereotype; a fatherless black kid pinning his hopes on a football scholarship. But I've got the skills and the smarts to back it up. One night, and an innocent dance with a white girl, and my whole world and all my dreams start to unravel. The killing begins. People are looking at me. And the circle of people I can trust is getting smaller by the day. I can feel the net closing in. I have to find the killer before he finds me. I have to play the best football of my life. I have to stay alive long enough to get a ticket out of hell.

�ber die Autorin bzw. den Autor: Born in St.Louis,Mo and raised in San Bernardino,Ca I know what hard work and determination is. To make it from those cities and to get a football scholarship to Cal St.Fullerton, took just that. After college I was drafted in the 2nd round(44th overall)in the 1986 NFL Draft. I spent thirteen years as a professional cornerback and safety. In my first year with the NY Giants, I started at cornerback, and we won Super Bowl XXI. Five years later we won Super Bowl XXV, and I was awarded Defensive MVP. I played in Super Bowl XXXI with the Green Bay Packers, though a losing effort a memorable one. So I guess you could say I do know a bit about hard work and determination...and winning Super Bowls. After sports, I entered the world of communications as a guest radio and television sports announcer, and I own a recruiting company, 2Five Sports. My current endeavor is writing. I’ve transformed my passion and experiences into a work of fiction. Collaborating with another author, we’ve written a sports thriller called “More Than A Game”. I live with my children in Kansas City, Kansas.
