The book deals with a newly inaugurated mysterious railway station. The first station master of this station dies due to a heart attack. The second station master goes into coma and does not revive for months. The third station master also gets a heart attack. Three more station masters have also returned from the place, considering that they are scared in the station at night. An Intelligence officer (IO) is then sent to the station to inquire about the mysterious deaths of the station masters. The IO too returned from the station, but not because of his fear. He fails to recognize any type supernatural activity and submits his report saying that the deaths were just a coincidence. But the death of another station master finally concludes it to not be another coincidence. The IO is again sent to the same station to sort out the problem. But this time he notices something strange and is finally able to specify the reason for the deaths.
