Functionalized polymers are macromolecules to which chemically bound functional groups are attached which can be used as catalysts, reagents, protective groups, etc. Functionalized polymers have low cost, ease of processing and attractive features for functional organic molecules. Dr. Narendra Pal Singh Chauhan is Assistant Professor at the Department of Chemistry, Bhupal Nobles' University, Udaipur, India. Dr. Chauhan’s research interests include conducting polymers, polymeric materials, biomaterials, graphene, metal-organic framework, material characterization, nanocomposites, and biopolymers. Dr. Chauhan has worked as editor or author of four published books, in the areas of biocidal polymers, polyaniline, and inorganic and organometallic polymers, as well as contributing to numerous journal articles and book chapters on functionalized polymers and biomaterials.
