In a corrupted kingdom, Tamar and Mera live in constant fear that their husband and son√î√∏'Ѷthe wicked King Noah√î√∏'Ѷwill turn on them. But even their fear can√î√∏'Ѷt change what they know to be true. And with the Lamanites closing in around their little kingdom, Tamar and Mera face an impossible choice between the man they once loved and the faith they can√î√∏'Ѷt deny.

When Queen Mera s son Noah takes the throne ahead of his righteous elder brother, Jarom, Mera hopes he will mend his ways and turn to the Lord. Instead, he leads the kingdom into iniquity, disregarding the priesthood and dishonoring his young wife. Mera fears she is to blame, and she can only hope that it is not too late to change his heart.
Meanwhile, Noah s wife Tamar seethes with fury over his indiscretions, false promises, and neglect of their marriage and their son. But even as she struggles to salvage the pieces of their life together, she fears she will never regain the love they once shared.
In this Book of Mormon historical fiction, faith is forbidden, and both women walk a perilous line between keeping peace with the king and honoring the truth in their hearts. But they can t walk that line forever. The more they try to force Noah to change, the more they risk destroying themselves. The appearance of a prophet and call to repent brings consequences no one imagined.
