Five Fold Cycle - Workbook: Method of Healing Personal Hurt

It is quite simple how FiveFold Cycle - Method of Healing PersonalHurt works. You openyourself to the Lord in prayer, you ask for the help of the Holy Spirit, and listen for directions and insights. You ask the Lord to clean the negatives away and to fill yourself and the people involved with the positives. The Lord comes through.

It all starts with a problem or issue in our life. We take that problem to the Lord in prayer, asking for help and having no idea where it would take us. The Holy Spirit guides our thoughts to a few specific situations, to specific memories. Then we pray for healing.

Healing has taught us four things: first, we are not the healer, and the gifts of the HolySpirit are not ours. The healing comes from God through Jesus Christ, and the gifts are available to anyone who asks.

Second, God uses the community to heal. Everyone has gifts and they are for the common good. We don't own them, and we are responsible to God and the community for their proper use.

⁴ Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; ⁵ and there are varieties of services, but the same Lord; ⁶ and there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who activates all of them in everyone. ⁷ To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good.

1 Corinthians 12: 4-7

Thirdly, God works directly with the individual. God does not need anyone as a channel of His grace. All we need is to open to him. God can and does deal with us directly, and we do not necessarily need specialists, counsellors, healers, priests or pastors.

Fourthly, God leads if we let him. Our job is to be open, to open our will. God will then guide us and direct us, but we must be open to the promptings. God uses His people and the world around us.
