Glittering in the heart of Manhattan's elite, Penelope Paws navigates murder, blackmail, and intrigue. Known along opulent corridors as the dog walking diva, Penelope must look through the window of lies to discover why her client died before it ensnares her completely.

It’s a dog-walk-gone-wrong. Pet sitter extraordinaire Penelope Paws becomes embroiled in chaos when she returns from walking her fabulously wealthy client Mr. Anderson’s dog and finds he took a fatal plunge from his posh penthouse. The question plaguing the glossed-over community is clear: was it a heartbreaking suicide or a meticulously planned murder?

Dismissed by the police, Penelope rides higher to exonerate Mr. Anderson’s neighbor Ms. Henderson. As secrets are exposed, she teams up with Jamie, a resourceful produce stand owner, her astute tuxedo cat — Midnight, and Edgar, an insightful crow. This tetrad confronts nosy neighbors, skeptical cops, and a shadowy killer lurking in the windows.

With peril growing, Penelope races to unlock the truth of this mystery she never asked to solve. Will the culprit be caught, or will she fall prey to the same fate as her client?
