Über diesen Titel

Inhaltsangabe:

There is Solomon, out skipping school, getting high, and living life with an invincible will. And like any teenage boy filled with anger, hope, and angst he handles situations the only way he knows how, by fighting, drowning himself in drugs, and running away. The story begins with Solomon out on senior skip day to spend it with his girlfriend Anna. When her ex-boyfriend shows up at her door step unexpectedly to woo her back in his arms, Solomon learns of Annas dirty past, and how she might not be the sweet angel Solomon learned to love. He leaves fuming without saying a word, goes back home, and consumes all the drugs he found in Anna's room before he left. Then, he blacks out.The only way Solomon feels confident in solving his current dilemma is to party all night to drown the pain. As a result of his festivities, he puts someone in the hospital and becomes wanted by the police. Rather than face the responsibilities set before him, he and Hector, his best friend, run off to the big city, hoping to find a better life than what they had back at home. However, the downward spiral is just beginning.A Field of Wild Flowers is a fast paced coming of age story filled with all the experiences of high school life, without the aspects of classroom education. It is a heart felt literary joy ride that makes each page flip to the next for a dramatic unexpected finale.
