A postgraduate in English literature, she has a diploma in Journalism and holds a certificate in Public Relations and Public Speaking. A prolific writer, Meera Raghavendra Rao has published more than 1000 articles which include interviews, features, travelogues, and humour and satire, middle and book reviews in various newspapers in India. She has also interviewed leading personalities for AIR and different TV channels. She has written the book Madras Mosaic, a social satire on people and places in Madras (Chennai) which has been widely acclaimed by the readers.
