Named in 2019 as "One of the 100 Best Confidence Books Of All Time!" (Book Authority)

Want to boost your confidence every time you speak? Written by an actor and speech coach, Fearless Speaking features the method that will help you eliminate your speaking fear in as little as 12 days.

We all know what it's like to feel worried and anxious, especially in stressful situations. But fear isn't rational. The truth is, you have everything you need to succeed when speaking to others . . . and overcoming your fear is easier than you think. Have you found yourself struggling with any of these types of negative thinking:

Learned Response: "I had a bad speaking experience once, and I know it's going to happen again."
Anticipation: "I worry for days or even weeks ahead of time."
Mind Reading: "I can tell the audience doesn't like me. And why is that person scowling?"
Fear of Appearing Nervous: "Everyone will see it and think I don't know what I'm talking about."
Fear of Going Blank: "It happened once, and it was awful. What if it happens again?"
Lack of Skills: "I'm just not a good speaker. Now everyone will know."
Physical Reaction: "My heart pounds, I can't breathe, my voice gets shaky . . . ugh!"
Performance Orientation: "I have to be an excellent speaker. Look at the others in my company."

The Fearless Speaking system features Dr. Gary Genard's performance-based approach to beating anxiety and building confidence: cognitive restructuring, reducing your "fight-or-flight" response, and learning focus, mindfulness, and presence. You'll learn and practice 50 hands-on exercises to acquire your own toolbox of confidence-building techniques.

As a professional actor, Gary Genard can turn anyone into a more confident and dynamic communicator, and has been doing so worldwide for over twenty years. If you suffer from speech anxiety, Fearless Speaking can change your life. Start enjoying public speaking today, and reap the rewards!

"This book is sensational! Fearless Speaking features a smart, positive method for eliminating your speaking fear immediately. You won't find a more hands-on and practical approach."
— Brad Phillips, author of The Media Training Bible: 101 Things You Absolutely, Positively Need to Know
Before Your Next Interview

Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor: Gary Genard is one of America’s top speech coaches. An actor and performance expert, he helps professionals become exceptional speakers and presenters. He is the creator of The Genard Method, which uses theater-inspired tools and techniques to develop confident, authentic, and memorable communicators. He coaches CEOs, Fortune 500 companies, nonprofits, small businesses, and entrepreneurs. He has worked with the U.S. State Department and United Nations, Congress, and foreign governments. His clients have appeared on the Today show, CNN, C-Span, and other media outlets around the world. In 2014, Global Gurus ranked Gary No. 25 on its list of the world’s top communication gurus. In his books, weekly blog, and executive training, Gary applies a unique holistic approach to successful speaking. The Genard Method combines breathing, mindfulness, body language, and vocal skills to help speakers achieve trust, credibility, and stage presence. His Fearless Speaking program is the only comprehensive method for overcoming fear of public speaking grounded in theatrical techniques. Gary’s background as an actor and teacher provides the basis for his approach marrying performance skills to non-theatrical communication. He completed his acting training at the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art in London before earning his Ph.D. in Theater at Tufts University. He taught at Harvard, Boston College, Tufts, Simmons College, Emerson College, and the University of Illinois before starting Boston-based Public Speaking International in 2001, which became The Genard Method in March 2014. He is the author of How to Give a Speech, published in 2007 by Cedar & Maitland Press. His new book Fearless Speaking features 50 exercises for helping people cope with speech anxiety. He also publishes e-Books and learning guides, and is the author of numerous published articles on public speaking. Gary has appeared on radio and television, and is frequently interviewed or quoted in publications such as the Boston Globe and Campaigns & Elections. He consults for companies and organizations in business, finance, healthcare and pharmaceuticals, law, government, nonprofits, professional associations, and individuals. As a thought leader in effective communication, Gary remains dedicated to inspiring people from all walks of life to discover the power of their own voice and reach their full potential as communicators.
