Fantastic Football. Dieser Artikel ist nicht verfügbar.Fantastic Football

Fantastic Football is the second book in the Stupendous Sports series which aims to do for PE what Horrible Histories did for Year 7 history. Full of cartoons, jokes, fun facts and useful stats, it gives a brief history of football, details of player positions, the future of the game, the importance of diversity, the forthcoming Football World Cup, the rise of women's football, plus a great section on skills and tricks. Brilliantly illustrated by Matt Cherry, this is for fans of the beautiful game, their parents (and grandparents), but firstly for young readers who want something entertaining to dip into and, like the game itself, to share with friends.

Aged 21 Robin was all set to become a cavalry officer; aged 21 and a half, he found himself working as an assistant gravedigger in south London wondering where it all went wrong. Robin has gone on to start and run over a dozen successful businesses from dog-sitting to cigars, tuition to translation. The list is quite exhausting. Robin is married with three young children. He spends his time between Pau in the Pyrenées and Henley-on- Thames.

Robin’s books include Monster Max and the Bobble Hat of Forgetting and Monster Max and the Marmalade Ghost, a laugh-out-loud series for 7–9 year-olds, with book three, Monster Max: This Time It’s Sirius publishing August 2023.

Robin is also the author of Rampaging Rugby, Fantastic Football and Cracking Cricket in the Stupendous Sports non-fiction series for 7–11-year-old readers. These books have also been adapted to Welsh, as the Campau Campus series.

Robin has also written other books for children, published with Monster Books.
