She reveals the hopes, ambitions and feelings of one Indian family, bringing sharply into focus the intricacy of human relationships and emotions.

About the Author:

Sarah Hobson was born in 1947 and educated in England. She first visited the Middle East at the age of seventeen when she taught English to Arab children in a Russian Orthodox school near Jerusalem. Since then she has travelled widely and grown more and more interested in studying the rural communities of the "developing" countries.
