The first book in a carefully graded course designed to instruct the modern Guitarist to be proficient in solo playing, chord accompaniment and chord-melody style, including a pre-reading section that allows the student to play songs by reading fret numbers only. Musicianship skills are developed by exposing the student to the many styles typically encountered in today's musical world. Starting from the very beginning, natural notes in first position on strings one, two, and three are presented, along with basic rhythms. Dynamics are also introduced to develop musicianship at an early level.
