This wonderful catalogue accompanied a magnificent exhibition of Fang figures and masks that was held at the Musee Dapper from late 1991 through early 1992. Quite probably the finest exhibition ever held of Fang art, the assemblage of these splendid objects is strikingly depicted in wondrous color and b/w photographs and drawings. In addition to a very importanty text (in French), excerpts from Tessman's classic work Die Pangwe--newly translated to French--are included.
