Exegesis

Alice Liu is a computer programmer. Arriving at her desk one day she discovers an e-mail from Edgar. He's very clever but a little naive. Edgar loves to read. He has a great sense of humour, although it can get out of control. The problem? Edgar is an artificial intelligence programme. Their on-line relationship blossoms, but when Edgar's hunger for knowledge leads him to explore the outside world by extending himself throughout the web, he begins to attract the attention of the authorities. Suddenly Alice's loyalties are stretched and a fragile friendship finds itself under threat.
