The book examines the problems of reforming local self-government in Ukraine during the martial law period. It discusses the process of decentralization in which political institutions, state administration and public initiatives were involved. It examines the systemic changes in Ukraine under the conditions of Russian aggression and martial law.
Vasyl Marchuk is Professor in Political Science at the Political Science Department at the University of Trnava. His research focuses on political institutions and processes, local self-government, decentralization and the European integration of Ukraine.
Vasyl Melnychuk is a Doctor of Philosophy and Head of the Electronic Support of the Executive Office of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Council. His research focuses on the regional characteristics of local self-government reform, decentralization processes and European integration in Ukraine.
