The detailed flora captured by talented botanic artist Audrey Eagle for decades is collected together in this colorful compilation. The stunning selection of New Zealand’s unique native plants is expertly painted by Eagle at life-size, and includes enlargements to showcase the expert technical detail of the flowers, leaves, and seeds of each plant. Also included is an appendix with comprehensive notes that were drafted in consultation with professional botanists to provide information on the plants. An introduction by scientist Patrick Brownsey gives new insights into Audrey Eagle and her life’s work, and sets her place in the prestigious history of the botanical illustration of New Zealand flora.
