ENID Book 1 of a fantasy trilogy is a tale of courage, discovery, and destiny. In the aftermath of a devastating dragon attack that leaves her village in ruins, Enid, a fierce and skilled warrior, seeks refuge in a neighboring village. She soon discovers that the villagers are locked in a desperate battle against relentless trolls, who are hunting the runaway elfin princess they gave sanctuary to. Unaware that her path will lead her into the heart of the elfin kingdom Enid joins the fight. There, within the halls of the elfin king's palace, she uncovers secrets that have been hidden for generations-secrets that shake the very foundation of her identity. As palace intrigue unfolds and ancient rivalries resurface, the truth about her origins is revealed. This forced her to confront her destiny and the role she must play in a looming conflict that threatens to engulf the entire realm. Enid's journey will redefine not only who she is but what she's capable of becoming. What Reader's Favorite has to say (5 star review) Reviewed by: Foluso Falaye for Reader's Favorite Review Rating: Enid by Eileen Sheehan welcomes readers into a fascinating, magical world filled with dragons, elves, trolls, and other amazing characters. This is a nuanced tale that involves fierce fighters, engaging politics, and enthralling war scenes. Enid vows to avenge the deaths of her parents and punish those behind the destruction of her village. She also finds herself falling for Logan, who happens to be a warrior among her new friends in another village. Unfortunately, Logan seems to have his eyes on rescuing a very beautiful princess with a mysterious past. Meanwhile, the evil plans of the elves unfold as they become more powerful and strike fear in the hearts of anyone who stands in their way. Enid and her new friends must unravel the secrets that can drastically improve their odds of winning the battles they face. I was captivated by the protagonist's determination to succeed and defeat her enemies. As Enid and her fellow fighters recover from sudden attacks and prepare for more intense battles, they discover chilling secrets about their foes and plot ways to counter the threats they face, despite being close to defeat. The book explores the theme of magic quite brilliantly. I enjoyed reading about the magic that can control dragons and seeing the characters seek ways to gain access to untapped powers. Also, the book offers some exciting romantic scenes. Enid and Logan's buried feelings for each other create an alluring, suspenseful atmosphere that keeps resurfacing tastefully throughout the narrative. Ultimately, any fantasy fan who chooses Enid is making a great choice. Its smart blend of magic, charming characters, and engrossing themes makes it a great choice. I can't wait to read more stories in this skillfully built world created by Eileen Sheehan.

Eileen Sheehan is a best selling author who primarily writes hot, steamy romances (mostly New Adult) with a sexy male and strong female. A few are steamier than others (see their description). The majority of her novels are paranormal, but some are just plain novels about people in love (contemporary or historical with the author name of Ailene Frances). ALL of her stories have a bit of naughtiness, some excitement, a few thrills, and maybe a touch of mystery mixed in with sometimes naughty, sometimes sweet lovin'. She strives to write a novel length that will allow the busy woman to be able to sit down in an evening or two and be taken on a romantic journey without having a week go by before she gets to the end of the story. An incurable romantic, she has a love affair with at least one of her characters... one book at a time. She hopes the same thing happens to you. *** Eileen Sheehan started out as a freelance writer for periodical magazines and newspapers. From there, she tried her hand at writing screenplays. Her screenplay, "When East Meets West" was a finalist in the 2001 Independent International Film and Video Festival at Madison Square Gardens, NYC. Finally finding her niche, she lets her imagination loose with new adult/paranormal romance/thrillers (some are steamy and some are tame) with the author name of Eileen Sheehan. She creates steamy historical and contemporary romances with the author name of Ailene Frances. Seeing how far out of the box she could stretch, she crafted an alternative romance with the author name of E. F. Sheehan and has a few self-help books under her work name of Lena Sheehan. Her stories can be found in eBook, Paperback, and Audio formats.
