Inhaltsangabe:

Much madness is divinest sense--
To a discerning Eye--
Much Sense--that starkest Madness
--From 'Tis the Majority

Emily Dickinson, the Belle of Amherst, stayed close to home, finding inspiration in the small world around her. Often writing more than a poem a day--although few were published during her lifetime--she perfected a highly personal, condensed, and enduring style. Among her most famous poems included here are: Success Is Counted Sweetest,I Taste a Liquor Never Brewed, and This Is My Letter to the World.

Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor: Emily Elizabeth Dickinson was an American poet. She was born in Amherst, Massachusetts into a prominent family with strong ties to its community. After studying at the Amherst Academy for seven years in her youth, she briefly attended the Mount Holyoke Female Seminary before returning to her family's house in Amherst. She lived much of her life in reclusive isolation.
