Help children identify beauty and hope in all cycles of life as they follow two insects, Lea and Nym, and the struggles Nym endures when her friend disappears. This is a tender story about loss and change, written to help parents express their views about life and death. The book may serve many purposes, such as comforting a grieving child or providing facts about dragonflies. Beautifully illustrated, it is cherished by parents, grandparents, and teachers.

Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor
John Adams is a first-time childrens book author. He co-founded Feather Rock Books with his wife, Clea, in 2005. Their goal is to publish thoughtful and inspiring stories. Mr. Adamss appreciation for nature began during his active childhood on a western Kentucky farm. He now lives in Minnesota where his family enjoys the beauty and theater that dragonflies bring to their yard from a nearby marsh. While this book was being produced, Mr. Adams lost both parents to old age and illness. He was reminded that loss and change affect people of all ages and in different ways. He hopes this story will encourage children to share their feelings of loss and provide parents with an opportunity to comfort their children during a time of need. Barbara L. Gibson received her B.F.A. from Carnegie Mellon University. She has illustrated more than three dozen books, including the National Geographic Society's award-winning six-book Little Learners Library and a pop-up book, Creatures of the Desert World. She also illustrated Patricia Cornwell's Life's Little Fable, Marie and Roland Smith's N is for Our Nation's Capital and Audrey Penn's The Whistling Tree, A Pocket Full of Kisses and A Kiss Goodbye. An ardent environmentalist, she specializes in horse, wildlife and nature illustration. When not engrossed in work, she can often be found at the small farm where her horse is boarded or at the therapeutic riding center where she volunteers her time. She and her composer husband, Robert, live in Olney, Maryland, with their dogs, Sadie and Tess. Their grown daughter, Caitlin, lives and works in the Washington area.
