Daniel Pennac is one of the most translated authors in France, with books for both adults and children appearing in more than thirty languages. DOG, originally published in 1982, was his first childrens book. "Im not an expert when it comes to dogs," he says. "Im just a friend. Perhaps Ive got a bit of dog in me. I was born on the same day as my first dog. We grew up together." Daniel Pennac lives and teaches in Paris.
Sarah Adams also translated Daniel Pennacs EYE OF THE WOLF, which was recognized as an IBBY Honor Book for writing in translation. She was born in Brussels and now lives in London. As well as translating books from French, she works as a travel writer, theater critic, and arts journalist.
