Contemporary mottled calf, handsomely rebacked and recornered in modern niger morocco, spine with green morocco label and gilt armorial insignia. Folio, pp[xii] + 317 + [9]; Analogia Honorum pp181 + [9]. Original mottled calf a little dried on the surface, else an excellent copy. See Lowndes calling for 73 plates : this copy with a portrait of the Earl of Craven rather than the portrait of the Baron of Worlabye called for by Lowndes : ** and with 2 additional ** portrait plates making 75 plates in all. Guillim's great work in which he 'indeed systematised and illustrated the whole science of heraldry' [DNB].
