Dive into thrilling Disney adventures and enjoy fan-favorite comics talents with a new Disney Masters slipcase set featuring Vol. 23: Mickey Mouse: The Riddle of Brigaboom by Romano Scarpa and Vol. 24: Uncle Scrooge: World Wide Witch by Daniel Branca!

First: in “The Riddle of Brigaboom,” Mickey’s friends and enemies are hypnotized by Dr. Wrayspray’s “Spraysan,” a bewitching body spray that makes everyone feel stronger and smarter! But Mickey smells a rat—and the trail leads to Pegleg Pete and Brigaboom, a mysterious island that only appears once every five years! Also in this volume: Donald Duck battles an army of evil toys in “Remotely Impossible” and his own unhinged cousin in “The Unsinkable Kildare Coot!”

Next: in “World Wide Witch,” the year is 2000 and that saucy sorceress, Magica De Spell, is turning early social media to her advantage—arranging a full-scale sorceresses’ convention at Scrooge McDuck’s money bin! Then Scrooge travels through time to beat Flintheart Glomgold in “The Quest for the Curious Constable”… and Huey, Dewey, and Louie face dangerous duck-eating plants in “The Green Attack”!

Fantagraphics’ Disney Masters series unearths a treasure trove of previously unavailable comics epics in the grand Walt Disney tradition: expanding the lore of Mickey, Donald, and Scrooge, anthologizing the work of fan-favorite North American talents, and bringing you the best of the acclaimed international artists who have popularized Disney around the world.

Romano Scarpa (1927-2005) trained as a fine artist and an architect. He left his own animation studio in 1953 to draw original comics stories for Walt Disney's Italian publisher. He is most famous for his stories starring Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, and Snow White.

In addition to writing Disney comics for 25 years, John Lustig (1953-), born in Seattle, Washington, has written outrageously silly comics for Marvel, Viz, and more. Lustig is best known for his Last Kiss comics, which feature vintage romance art with witty new dialogue.

Daniel Branca (1951-2005), born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, worked as an animator and a humor-comics cartoonist before starting work with famous Disney comics production house Egmont. Best known for tales pitting Scrooge McDuck against the Beagle Boys and Magica De Spell, Branca was among the most popular Duckburg artists of the 1980s and 1990s.

Kari Korhonen, born in Espoo, Finland, is a cartoonist famed for Disney comics work. Korhonen has been writing and drawing Disney comics for the Danish publisher Egmont since 1993, where he is best-known for Donald Duckling stories--featuring Donald as a mischievous youngster--and Scrooge McDuck adventures founded on Don Rosa's Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck series. Beyond Duckburg tales, Korhonen is best known for Winnie the Pooh stories.
